2016’s Blancpain GT Series campaign came to its formal conclusion last Sunday at the Tower of London where SRO’s Night of the Champions awards ceremony took place.
This Sunday (November 27th) the annual SRO Prize Giving ceremony will take place in London. Not only will the drivers’ champions get their hands on some shining silverware, but several Blancpain GT Series teams will also see their hard work during 2016 rewarded with a title.
This weekend (Nov 19/20), the second edition of the FIA GT World Cup takes place on the famous street circuit of Macau. Among the competitors plenty of GT drivers that have starred in the Blancpain GT Series.
SRO Motorsports Group and the Sean Edwards Foundation are pleased to announce the first finalists for the Sean Edwards Trophy, which will be awarded to a driver competing in the 2016 Blancpain GT Series.
The Silverstone-based squad will expand to field a minimum four-car assault under the Strakka Racing banner to defend the 2017 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup in which McLaren GT secured both drivers’ and manufacturers’ titles earlier this year. The calendar for the 2017 season of the Blancpain GT Series has been finalised. By the end we will know who will follow Maxi Buhk and Dominik Baumann as the next Blancpain GT Series champions.
The brand new Peugeot 308 Racing Cup, reserved for the 308 BHP strong Peugeot 308 RC, will be part of the SRO promoted FFSA French Circuit Championship, Peugeot Sport has announced. The spectacular single-make series will also be one of the support races of the 2017 Total 24 Hours of Spa, the highlight of the Blancpain GT Series.
